Creating an OptOut of breakfast promo code

Ctrl F - it ain't rocket science Okay so I actually gave you an opinion that breakfast is your thing...maybe I will reconsider my kind comments and really review your website that has a floating header blocking the entire page making in impossible to navigate.

Creating an OptOut of breakfast promo code

I love the idea, but for the original post can only see it as "Charging for breakfast" vs discounting those who don't eat it. I tried this for a short time and it was very confusing here. People showed up anyway, and I had to really pay attention. Even with a night before sign up sheet, they...

    Fresh Ideas Wanted

And there are also travel bloggers who love to cover it. It is the new black, traveling with your dog. If I had outside entrances or cabins I would go for it. I would set up one or two rooms as a trial and if they filled up that would be my clue. I think a person would come to the area and spend...

Redoing confirmation email - what's in yours?

They always think that. They are hotel people. It never ends. You can explain it you can show them no matter what they don't get it and expect a self service boofay

Creating an OptOut of breakfast promo code

Isn't breakfast complimentary? Or do you charge for it? Oddly enough when I googled you I got this: Apparently the second B is very important there. :) Wait, on your website it is huge and all over the place about the breakfast (in fact complimentary is used 9 times!) Sounds like people love it...

    Fresh Ideas Wanted

If it were me I would think about what I could add that would draw guests, vs what the guests who already booked will receive. In my years of innkeeping I kept adding wonderful amenities that were nice treats for those who booked a room. Nothing was an incentive to book. The "not wanting to eat...

    Muffins

On this same topic of muffins and freezing...I had some lemon poppie seed muffins I put in the freezer from NY's day and pulled this out this week and they were flattened like someone ran over them. Pretty funny really. I have frozen blueberry muffins and they were fine, not the same as fresh...

    want to buy an inn

I was saying illegal for a third party to take the deposits when the wedding couples believe them to be going to the owners, as part of their contract. Yes, agreed, it would be so convoluted it ain't funny. Weddings are complicated enough, consider adding something iffy thrown into the mix, it...

    Red Flag Areas

The more inns the more turnover. Innkeepers don't last forever. 10 years is a long shelf life. Consider that majority of innkeepers begin after retirement or close to it. So add 10 years to them, and you will find B&Bs for sale. It is not an easy job, doing it later in life has got to be extra hard.

    Red Flag Areas

You also have airbeanandbean coming in and undercutting most high occupancy areas. Then you have the dreamers who renovate and open a new inn when so many are already for sale, because where there are many it must mean good income. The only red flag I would mention is having owners not willing...

I also said to contact a B&B specialist. Only because I laugh as everyone shares such personal detail to someone who doesn't care. But that is how we roll! Awesome group, even when people don't get the answers they want.

Help with marketing for next year!

Branding is important, but be careful using a logo vs a real person in much of your marketing when you own and operate a bed and breakfast. You will appear very corporate, and when people sleep in your beds they may prefer a real person. That is what staying at a bed and breakfast is all about...
