I was sitting at my computer nad heard cheep.......cheep cheep.....cheep. Thank goodness it is time for A/C units to come out! For the second time this fall, I go upstairs to find a bird trying to get out of my house. I would have preferred it did not come in! The only thing I can figure out is they managed to come in by the A/C in that room - same room both times. This one was harder to get rid of than the first one.
I finally managed to spread the sheers open at the top and open the top half of the window. While I was doing that, it flew into another room. While I was opening the top of that room's window, it flew back to the original room and out. Closing those darm windows was not easy. Got them early so they did not make a huge mess - but it was a lot of extra cleaning that I could have lived without.

I guess that is better than saying "A little bird told me cheap cheap cheap!" haha

Same bird? They will do the same dopey thing over and over. Next time close the door before you start the eviction process. ;)

I think it was different birds - but who knows. You know what they say - they all look alike....

we had this with a fricking pigeon that fell down the chimney into the lounge. It was absolutely filthy and kept flapping onto the ceiling so left weird marks everywhere with 11 foot ceilings they aint easy to get to. kept pelting itsself into the big bay windows thought it was either going to kill itself or break the glass which I could do without. took ages to get it out.

Third time! This time, it is time to take the A/C units out. Tokk it out and left the window open but the bird was NOT going back in there. Went into the bathroom so I went in to open THAT window and he/she flew into the hall. Moved the sheer and opened the bathroom window, walked into the hall and Birdie flew back into the bathroom and out. YEA!!! The third A/C comes out this morning. Will look into buying new ones for next season. These are old enough to be inefficient by now.
