Okay I am here to bug ya, again. If you are full for the Vet's day promotion, why are you allowing your name and phone number to continue to go out on these press releases? Sure it says first come first serve. and I know they may have began before you are full up etc but isn't this adding to the frustration ?

That website has been one of my biggest referrers this month, even though we have been full and have been marked as full since August. I have no idea why guests keep looking at us.

Because there are some who are not full AND because it lets people know who participated. I am still getting calls from the military asking how to find an inn. And I mean from Virginia, California, Texas, and Maryland so far. They have to be reading enough to find my number but not far enough to get to the web site. Although many have told me they got regular reservations because they participated, I have yet to get ONE. It would be nice, but I do it because I want to so no biggie.
It is also a way to bring the bed & breakfast industry to the attention of John Q Public. It is the B & B industry, not hotels who are saying thank you.

Okay so for further bookings, it is just bad there is a phone# and not the url to the website so they can check, or maybe it is there, I didn't read it all the way. Just thought it would be very frustrating (for the innkeeper) to have so many calls when they are already maxed out.

We did not have everyone's web address (and one in particular is horrible). Joe just took this from last year and I updated it. He sent it to all the media outlets in the State. Gratis!

I've been a little referral engine here. We're not getting as many calls this week but when we do, I tell them the website to check. Not sure why they don't have that to start, but many are calling directly from some other source. Friends, other vets, etc.
