Have spent all day emailing a guest whose English is much better than my Dutch, but not everything translates. I think we have finally sorted out that we charge by the room and not by the bed. And if he brings extra people they need to have a bed to sleep in and we will then charge for the extra people.

I had this problem with a very nice french family trying to explain what a family room was knew what they wanted ie 2 adults and 3 kids all kids over 15 so the cheapest option and best option was 3 kids in a family room with the parents in the double room next door. In the end did a small film on my digital camera and that solved the problem. It was more a case of them wanting to be 100% sure I understood what they needed and that it was what they wanted.

Great idea! We took new photos of our suite with the doors closed and the doors open so guests could see exactly how it was laid out. We have a floor plan, too, but most guests don't notice the link for that.
