I can verify that the results of this poll match very closely the age distribution at the PAII conference attendees.

I can confirm that innkeepers are a spunky, bright, and witty bunch who can take care of themselves very well and love sharing their Guest War stories with each other.

To totally sidetrack, Arkie did you meet any Innspiring forum mates there?

No, but that's probably just because of the anonymity of this forum. I could only have met them if we'd planned to meet up in advance. I've searched out some of your photos at your websites, but don't see them often enough to recognize y'all in person.

I saw LOTS of folks I know from the PAII forum, because, being password protected, folks there use real names and photos of themselves, so I see them daily online. Each time I spotted one, it was like spotting a movie star. Crazy, but that was the feeling.

I kept being amazed at how short the women were. When I read their posts on the PAII forum they come across as lionesses who are 10 feet tall! As I said earlier: spunky (meaning spirited, courageous, assertive...I have heard that the Austrailian use of the word is somewhat different).

I saw about 15 women who looked just like our beloved K from W. Virginia.

Oh dear! No one should be that unlucky. We used doilies to find each other. We pinned them on our jackets.

Yes, I'm expecting a doilie PRIDE march at the next PAII convention. Those young whippersnappers at PAII headquarters will find out what a true lioness innkeeper will do to protect her young her doilies.

I didn't vote because I'm not currently an innkeeper, but if you're under 60, you're definitely NOT a geezer!  That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

WOW! that surprised me. I really thought that the 60 -69 yr olds would be the biggest category. Is that due to burn out??? or have they just not voted yet?

More likely the 60-69 year olds are trying to have some fun and not work so hard!  So perhaps it's burn out or just the time of life when it's time to get on with that bucket list!  The physical challenges of inn keeping present problems to "seniors" that the "younger" set doesn't usually face.
