It would be nice to belive the one about folding a fitted sheet, but I just can't. It has to be trick photography.

And when I go to a hotel I only take one pair of shoes, and I store them on my feet.

Quick as you can Grasshopper, fold the fitted sheet...it really is a mind over matter thing. It LOOKS impossible, but I have trained years of houskeepers to do this. I should have video'd the girl last year, she could fold those sheets so flat they looked like they had just come out of the package.

BTW, I fold all of the pillowcases inside the flat sheet so I have complete sets together. Storing things in the pillowcases, I think, would make for dusty pillowcases where someone is going to lay their head.

I've gone through boxes of showers caps with our logo on them and had someone comment that this was the first B & B they had stayed at that offered a shower cap.

oops!  I see the picture didn't come thru - use your imagination - put the dirty shoes in the shower cap to pack in a suitcase.

shower cap for shoes....

Shower caps are great for putting a pair of shoes in- in your suitcase if the bottoms get a little dirty.  I will try to post a picture.

I occasionally use a shower cap if I don't have time to wash my hair or I don't want to go outside with a wet head.

When our daughter who had the ONLY room to herself moved out, DH built ceiling racks in that room as he took it over as his studio. He stored his canvas, masonite, stretcher bars etc there AND we used the racks to hang plastic hangers with laundry drying during the winter (as well as doorways) when we could not use clothesline. It had the additional effect of humidifying the house. We could do one load a day - the kids did their own laundry (my Mama di not raise fools). We did towels and sheets this way also.

Thank you Samster for posting these - this is exactly where I saw it.  The popcorn in a paper bag I have been doing for about a year - it is fantabulous and lots cheaper and healthier than microwave popcorn.

Oh some cool ideas there. I really like the one about the upside down muffin cup and baking cookie dough to make a container. I am not so sure though about putting WD 40 on a lcd screen????

Never use one but we had a few guests that did.  (I am in the Deep South.)  I picked them up at the dollar store.  I would never order a gazillion of them.

Guests did notice that we had them and commented that we thought of everything, so that was probably good for something.

Other: I never use a shower cap. But, they make nice covers for the toilet plunger conveniently stationed in each bathroom.

Speaking of BWTS, now an old innkeeper in a shower cap HAS GOT to go on one of those videos, waving a wooden spoon as guests who up late! (Or wait, that is not a shower cap, what do you call those things the old ladies put over their curlers at the hair salon)?

Never use them. Don't offer them. To me they are things of the past when women used to get their hair done once a week and preserve the frozen "do" until the next appointment

Granted, we don't use that many at the B+B but I always use them when I travel.  Shower caps are an inexpensive amenity because you buy them once and they last a long time.  Still, I think they are important to offer guests...unlike the shoe shine kits and sewing kits that are never used.

I  had them available, but I can only think of one or two times they were ever used.  If someone uses them that often, I suspect they travel with their own.

They're great for putting over basins and bowls when proving bread dough.

We've got a whole box load, we put them in the bathrooms but they get used very infrequently.

im not a man but never use a shower cap. We have a box of them as we could only order in 100, its been 2 years since the order and ive opened the box exactly 3 times, for the bridal fairs we have as we have models staying and they have their hair professionally done and have to keep it dry.
