Ever wondered what that page of data was about. Here's a discussion... http://www.canada.com/travel/Rating+hotel+user+reviews/5914578/story.html

Meanwhile, that team of 25 who read and verify the reviews, just posted a review for a local restaurant that claimed they were a group and had chicken. Two problems.... restaurant doesn't do groups and they don't servce chicken. A week ago someone posted a review that mentioned a restaurant's competition by name and it sounded like an ad... and it's still up even though it violates ToS. Seems they need someone on that team who can read.

Barsky attributes the unpredictability at the edges to passion. People often submit ratings only after exceptional experiences, whether good or bad.

Good point.
