Have you ever noticed how hotel reviews can be so much tougher than B&B reviews?

Seems like a personal connection or your face as the owner makes it harder for people to go off in a review.

I think that is an amazing insight.

I think many of the super bad reviews with hotels are competitors. I mentioned prev staying at North Myrtle Beach off season and the reviews that came in WHILE we were there, how the entire inside pool area was closed down due to bacteria - we were in the pools (inside water park of sorts) and many other lies. We had the best service ever, the reviews said how the service in the restaurant is the worst. I really understood it at that point. The reviews appeared very juvenile as if hotel staff or hired persons were paid to make them look like real reviews. They used a ton of exclamation points!!!  All the time!!! Stay away!!! Terrible service!!! DIRTY!!!  I just can't see a real person reviewing this way.
