So, about that tip...

I know we talk tips sometimes, but how about being locked in a restaurant until you pay the tip? And I don't care that it said on the menu they would have a tip added. THAT is irrelevant. If they got crappy service, they shouldn't have to pay. Same thing if the food was crap. Just because it says the meal is $20 doesn't mean you pay for it if it was inedible.

What's worse is the restaurant is getting millions of dollars in free advertising! And the mgr says they do this 'often'. So, the service must be pretty bad.

Everyday, for good or ill, we intersect with some else's story and become a part of it.

Talk about no incentive to give good service. The staff knows they will get a 17% tip no matter what - IF management is actually giving the whole 17% to the staff..
