Has anyone ever done this? I recall our Trinidad CALF Innkeeper mentioning something in a crock pot a couple years ago...

I have a recipe for a cereal that is done in the crock pot. It is absolutely wonderful and great if you have a vegan.

Will post it in the recipes.

I am not certain about MY recipe. I started to post it, was interrupted, and then Chapel time. Will post it tomorrow - breakfast at 7 and then another at 7:30.

DH is known by those in his field for his crock pot meals.  He once gave one a stir prior to serving and pulled out the spoon.  Only the handle came out, it looked like it had dissolved..... He has never lived it down.  Those are the same folks booked in.  They are soooo going to get this served.  Thanks for this post!

I saw a recipe very similar to this one, and used to do one like this as well for the swim teams.  It isn't very pretty, but plate it up with a spoon of sour cream or yogurt, a sprinkle of chives or parsley, and it makes a passable presentation.  We used to add toast and fruit for a high energy (high carb) between event snack.  Those kids ate like nobody's business.  When my oldest was competing, she ate more than the offensive line of her HS varsity football team.
