Something to do with extra strawberries other than more jam!

Cruising the food boards like a vulture, looking for inspiration for easy to transport (read goes in a jar - or lidded container and still looks pretty), I found this.

I think it would be a great way to use the over abundance of strawberries many gardens get, and a great way to offer an alternate fruit course in the winter or fall when fruit prices are way up and you are tired of apples and pears.  Sort of a smoothie in a bowl thing.

I just happen to have extra strawberries. But, guests who can't eat them. I'm going to freeze and give this a try.

 The birds have beaten me to all but a handful of my berries. Next year I am putting netting over them.
