Because we're hauling out our favorite peeves today...parking. We have enough spaces for one car/room and one innkeeper car. We have painted an extra space on our parking lot for OUR car (it is not marked as such but it is oddly placed). This is where we park our car when we need the extra parking space for a guest.
Last night the entire parking lot was empty except for our 2 cars (neither in the 'extra' space as it wasn't needed). That's where our guest parked. In the spare spot (which is really small to accommodate one of our small cars.) The next guest? Parked behind them. I have SIX empty parking spaces and they're parking in these odd places.
Today- during breakfast a car pulls in with local plates. Person pulls sideways, taking 2 spaces, gets out of car comes to house. I figure it's someone with brochures. No. Here to see a guest. They go out and leave the car parked sideways.
Check-ins start. The sideways car is gone but its position is quickly taken by a guest who parks the same way. All guests come back and bring friends. Same car is back in the parking lot right now, parked sideways again. So, I now have 2 cars taking 4 spaces.
Luckily, everyone is leaving soon to go to dinner or to events. So they can all start right back up again later on. There are times I wish I couldn't see the parking lot. It makes me crazy!

This is obviously YOUR fault as you are not nazi enough and they do not fear you! :)

All our weekend guests at our river cottages cancelled Wednesday (making 120 acres and no guests), then the next day we got booking for both Friday and Saturday. Mixed emotions!

Our neighbour has a driveway where sometimes some idiot will park in front of the driveway blocking all the cars from exiting. It's clearly a driveway but idiots will be idiots. I taught him to make a lovely note in big letter and print it on his laser printer, something nice and sweet like "In future we would appreciate your kind attention to not blocking our driveway. Thank You" and then you pull out a glue stick, rub it on the windshield and glue the note there, so it doesn't fly off, by mistake.
Never happens a second time. The glue stick seems to do the trick. It's not permanent, but it is memorable.

I had a nightmare with parking mon/tue./wed! they all came in Jaguars and Huge range rovers every single one! I can get in 10 cars normally but had to supervise every single car being parks and to be fair got in 9! was a hard job mind!

It's not easy to park across two bays in our drive, sometimes people will do a 15 point manouver just to get across the two bays, instead of just driving straight into a bay, and then I have to go out and ask them to park the other way round so that someone else can park next to them.
The ones that drive me to distraction are the guests who instead of parking in the marked bays park across the drive at the bottom of the steps to the house so that no-one else can get in or out and then ask "Is the car OK there?".

...nightmare with parking...they all came in Jaguars and Huge range rovers...
Is a Jaguar considered a large car in the UK? I drive a Jaguar XJ8 and it's one of the smallest cars in my town! My car is easy to park, so easy to get through the narrow streets downtown, compared to most cars here.

Anything bigger than a Honda Civic is considered large - this particular chap's jag (no idea of model) has to be parked sideways at the supermarket to get it in.

I want to live in a place where a Honda Civic is considered large! Try an Escalade or 2 in the parking lot. Extended cab pickup truck. My next car will be a Mini or a Fiat 500.

Around here, an Accord is considered large. Small SUVs or CUVs. Smart Cars, Fiat 500, Yaris are all popular around here.

You can't tow a boat with a honda, that is all I am agonna say on this subject.

Yaris is very popular in my town as most of the parking is on street and its very tight. - Plus we don't need to tow boats they live at their mooring we are surrounded by the sea lots of places to park them.(boats that is)

Fortunately the phys therapy next door is not open at all hours and I am the corner lot because I have a few who do NOT want to drop the trailer so I get extended cab pick-ups with a 25-30 ft horse trailer behind parking in front of the house. (They leave the dogs in the trailer) It takes up the space I would normally park 3 cars. There is a huge parking lot (gravel) across the street from me but they dare not park there - it belongs to the VFD and they do not like us (DH runs his mouth too much - and I have made a comment or two myself to be fair - about the "boys club").
