I know I know ditch lilies, but still, I love orange.

See the blog link for photos I took today of our day lilies...

On the contrary!  Day lilies are bright and cheery...love them.  Once they are finished blooming the foliage adds texture without getting all brown.  They look lovely in your garden.

Have you planted any of the new varieties that are ever-blooming?  Each bloom still lasts only a day but they re-bloom all summer.  Stella Dora is the most common variety but some new cultivers have recently become available.www.ehow.com/list_7511636_everblooming-daylilies.html

Huh? Contrary?

I guess I don't understand the comments. I love them that is what I said in the blog. They bloom one day only, here today gone tomorrow...

I have a couple of Stella D'Oro and a lot of different colors on the other ones. Yellow, red, magenta and, yes, the ubiquitous orange.

My garden goes from pink/blue/purple in the spring to orange/red/yellow as the summer progresses.
