I want to make french toast that taste like wedding cake. Any ideas?

I have one I make that people thinks tastes like strawberry shortcake.

i agree, almond extract whipped into the egg mix.

how about using portuguese sweet bread and maybe slivered almonds as garnish with the dusting of confec sugar.

sliced strawberries on the side

why do you want to do this?

I want something different that no one has had before. I have a couple things that they have never had.

Pound cake French toast?  Would that do it?  I think you would need a denser bread at least and agree that you need plenty of vanilla, plus almond.

Almond extract.  That is the 'wedding cake flavor'.

Use angel food cake for the french toast. Smiling

Give it an extra shot of vanilla and cut back (or out) on the cinnamon.
