I could see this as a great way for an eggs bennie morning for a full table.

We did baked eggs in ramekins with herbs and cheeses. Good breakfast and this way is certainly good for a crowd.
 
Add herbs, some parmesan cheese and some heavy cream and you have a basic egg en cocotte. You can even put in some bacon on the bottom or side if you want to.

wish i'd known about it when i had a houseful of guests! such great ideas.
