Im just reading 500 social media tips from andrew Macarthy which is pretty good - has some ideas and outlets I hadn't really thought of before - and at £2.99 its not a huge expenditure.

A very interesting article, although I think that most of those running a B&B or inns in general have already realized this some time ago. There are those among the smaller businesses that do no advertising at all and only rely on word of mouth and opinions - the next logical step would be to exploit instruments like Facebook (YouTube requires really excellent ideas or a not-so-small budget if you want to get a video that is really meaningful, so I guess it's not for everyone) and maybe Pinterest to spread the word, build a net and share images with past and future clients. It's some work that comes on top but it's usually fun and, most important, cheap.
