This picture is located at the top of b&b.com's website as one of the rotating listings, I love the way the sun is shining through the orange tree leaves, I know this is probably in New England, and it makes me want to be there right now!

It isn't, but it reminds me soooo much of an absolutely gorgeous B&B just down the road from here - The Newcastle Inn http://www.newcastleinn.com/ The homepage pic they used to have was incredibly reminiscent of the one you've highlighted. It's been recently taken over and I think the new owner will do absolutely wonderful things with it.

Ooh, that's a nice one too!

Question: as an inn goer, when you see all those things in the B&B photos, fruit and cheese and wine etc, do you think that comes with the room (since their have hefty rates) or do you know that is there for the photo and possible an add-on package?
Wow I wish I could double my rates during fall foliage and get away with it. They obv can and do. A beautiful place indeed!

Well, now that that I've stayed a several B&B's I figure the wine & cheese is probably a package you have to buy, but then again some have a wine & cheese reception in the evening but I didn't see one listed on their website so I'm guess not. One B&B we stayed in Savannah had a wine, cheese & hors d ouevres reception every night during the week.
BUT, if I was booking and hadn't been to any or only 1 or 2 b&b's I would assume that everything I saw on their website came with the prices....I probably wouldn't say anything once I got there and never got any wine & cheese, but I would always wonder why they "advertised" it but they didn't have it.

looking at the pictures, i might assume ... except there is not in big bold letters anything about complimentary ...
so i went in and found this on their site. it looks like you can have some cheese and buy your wine.
''From 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., every day, in our common areas, we will be hosting a reception featuring our new wine and beer list. To compliment our selections, we have chosen seven Vermont cheeses to be featured each day. You may purchase wines and beers by the glass, and wine by the bottle."

I think it is an add on. Unless there is verbiage to make me think otherwise, such as, 'Enjoy our welcoming tray of fruit and cheese.' That means it's waiting for you and is complimentary.
