Google Hotel Finder Now Displaying B&B Results via Acorn Internet Services, Inc. - Google's Hotel ... http://tinyurl.com/cydunb3
After you read this, please discuss. I find photos on there from BEFORE my time...and horrible horrible chopped up images. Not sure where they came from. There is even a photo credit on each photo if you click on it. UGH! We don't do laundry, nice of them to add that though.
The only GOOD THING is that there is a link to our website, twice. and it works.

Yes, they have THEIR horrible photo of my property. Not the house, just the intersection where you turn. There is a link to the website, tho. However, we are so far down the list and the 'photo' they put up for us is the logo for something else altogether that we'll never get found there.

I found that last week when I was about to begin a rant about why to NOT get a paid listing on TA. So I searched the 2 cities within 10 miles of me - not listed, even at the bottom. The ONLY time I came up was if my city was searched (DUH! I am the only lodging in the city that is so small it dows not make it on most maps. The street photos were of the main drag from 2007 and it does look down my street. The tree that towers over my house can be seen next to the house (the house also from the side - it is too big to not show up).

My listing looks great (I'm amazed!) and we're showing up in all the nearby towns. It looks like the photos and amenities are taken from our google places listing. If you haven't updated or claimed your google places listing with photos and info, give it a try and see if in time it will show up on the hotel search.

My listing looks identical to the Google places listing, and too am showing up in nearby towns.

We don't even show up. There was apparently a technical problem with Google Places about a month back and our listing completely disappeared. After a flood of emails to their support group, the issue was sort of resolved. Before all our B&B.com reviews showed up on our Google Places listing, now they're gone.
I'm starting to not like Google.

Ours is fine but it looks like we need more and better reviews and we have only two and they do not show "stars" for some reason.

I think Google places dropped all 3rd party reviews in hopes to get people to write Google reviews.

We are not showing up at all. We do have our Google Places account and have decked it out with all the information & pics possible. I did do a little updating a few days ago hoping that might trigger an inclusion. I looked at the Tips link on how to get listed, but it just talked about claiming our Google Places listing. It also mentioned upgrading to Google+, but I have no intention of doing that.
