. A guest at breakfast had locked them selves out of a room and I had to go let them in. Another guests had mentioned the electronic locks and asked if I ever thought about those. I told him we would love to do that some day! So today I received a conformation for 9 electronic entry LCD screen door knobs. It also included 12 other door knobs to match the style of the entry doors to each suite. The guest was the GM to a major lock company. The invoice had a total bill of zero and said Merry Christmas on it! I can't believe this! Sweet!

WOW, how very nice. And you will be a great spokesperson for them... I know I have 'sold' a lot of the Sch lage keyless.

Sweet indeed! I think you will really like these. The original ones I had beeped whenever you hit a button and made a really loud noise when the lock opened, which is why I never put them on the room doors. Now that the new ones are silent, I may look into doing this on all the room doors.

Wow... quite the Christmas present! Give the man a shout out.. what brand?

Yes, totally free! I already sent him a message to come stay with us again on us! Great idea! I told him to call direct rather than go through our online system. Masterlock is getting into this type of lock. I believe this type of lock isn't out yet. So maybe I'm a test kitchen so to speak! I'm good with that for sure. It's funny how things work. This would of never happened if the other guest would not have locked themselves out of their room! This might not be that big of a thing for some. But it certainly is to us and we are grateful!

proves my point about how 99% of guests are super - its ones like this that make all the difference! the nicest story we had was a neighbouring large hotel had a fire which started in the staff quarters - which unfortunately meant all their live in staff lost everything and were running round a neighbouring hotel in that hotels old staff uniform as they had had to leave in the middle of the night in their pj's! as DH had friends working their we offered accommodation to guests and staff but they were sorted - so we started a collection of clothes and sundry items to get them back on their feet - people who had been staying there were so proud of the staff they went round to the supermarket and bought brand new clothes for them and dropped them off! and they were the ones who had been got up in the middle of the night etc - people can surprise you.
