All my telemarketing callers are now blocking their phone numbers from showing. Even tho the phone numbers were faked, I could still block them. Can't block nothing. The bastards. We get a lot of calls from Europe that also come thru showing no numbers so I can't just ignore the calls.

And they KNOW that too. I am getting several calls a day now causing me to have a very loose mouth.

I get calls that say 'incoming call' ... swell
also, twice I got a call showing MY own phone number as the caller. what is this about? reminded me of the scary movies 'the caller is in the house!'

It just means the caller is spoofing your own number back to you figuring you'll answer. 95% of the calls on my personal phone come from the same phone number telling me I should buy some sort of senior safety device. So, who sold my birthdate + phone number? DMV? AARP?

I have been getting these blocked calls as well. I won't answer them. If its a guests they will leave a message! Or if I'm feeling good, I will answer them and mess with them. They get all confused.

My problem with that is I don't want to call internationally to contact a guest. I had one guest who refused to do an online rez and demanded I call them back, international call. They've been back a few times but there's always an issue when they come. (Our fault they couldn't find parking at the train station. Our fault they couldn't FIND the train station- it's clearly visible from the highway and directly across from the exit ramp! Our fault they had to pay regular summer rates when, the first time they came in the winter, we upgraded their room for free.) That's why I don't want to spend my own money calling them back!

It depends on the country. I'm paying 5c a minute to call most of Western Europe, so not a big deal. But don't ask me to call your mobile, I'm not paying for that. We find that if they are already so cheap as to not call and ask us to call... they aren't our customers and we say that it's not our policy, sorry.
