Is that how I got a sweet deal?

Recently bought 6 quarts of organic Canadian maple syrup at a good price ($12.99/qt) for use in the B+B. Having recalled our recent discussion about the big maple syrup heist in CA in the fall, I figured that I had better scoff up the deal before the supplies ran out. Now, however, I am wondering if I bought stolen goods.

The 540ml can in Montreal is about $8, but it can get as low as $5 a can if you watch the specials. That's not that unusual a price. That's what the cost warehouse store sells it for in the US.
Organic is really something I wouldn't bother with when it comes to maple syrup. It's all basically organic, paying to prove it is a waste of money for most of the manufacturers. It's natural sap from trees. No one bothers with weeding, etc. You just tap the forest
