Looks like they're doing this to raise money to maintain the estate. Maybe we should follow this maintenance example with a corner of our own estates!
 
what they are doing where I am - which is really nice is you can buy christmas lights in remembrance of people - it is run by Yorkshire Cancer research - either a bulb, garland or whole tree and it lasts for 50 years.
Ive bought some bulbs for DH's father who was lost to a brain tumour.
They look stunning all round town - but I keep calling them cancer trees and it sounds like the tree has cancer! need a better name for it!

I am wearing a bit of a lopsided grin at the moment. One of my daughters sent me some lovely Go diva truffles but the other twin sent Irish whiskey filled chocolates (yep, the real thang!). heeeeheeee
