I just had a call from the man who rand the Vint age Motor cycle that got DH started with his paintings. He could not hold the secret in one more minute. he has known since September that one of the riders in Can non ball 2012 was dedicating his rider to DH. The last painting of a motorcycle DH did was the 1927 Indian this man rode in the endurance "race". He had 100 medallions made to give to to special people and he saved #55 (HIS NUMBER!!) to give to DH. It is currently in the mail. My caller got an email today that it was in the mail and a copy of the letter being sent to DH. Now I have to not say anything until the package arrives. He said in the letter that DH was his inspiration to do the ride this time as he had been wavering as to whether he was going to - he did the 2010 on a 1915 Indian. - and gave DH one of the medallions he carried on that run!
I had biz cards made for DH for Christmas - 3 different ones each one a different one of his paintings and I was given permission to use a photo of his painting of the 1927 for one of the cards. I am wowed!

Woo hoo! your DH's paintings are amazing but i know what it is like to have someone really appreicate them!

Thank you. I can trace it all back to the B & B being responsible for the chain of events.
When we did the "GREEN" classes in Charleston (WV) one of the people in the class was there for Wei rton Steel. Turns out he was from the town where I went to high school AND was a founder of a B SA Go ld Star owners group - the motorcycle DH owned and had on the racing circuit in the Midwest. When that club had their 25th anniversary, DH did a painting of the raffle bike of the year and gave it to the club to raffle off or whatever they wanted to do with it. The prez of the club refused to allow it to go to someone who would not appreciate what they had - so it hangs over his mantle where it was seen by the vintage guy. And now you know the rest of the story!
He now has paintings hanging coast to coast - that were PURCHASED!! Love that revenue!
