A new webiste called http://www.nastyclient.com/ is the opposite of Angie's list. For $15.99 a year to put up info about a client. Interestingly enough, the consumerist has a poll at the bottom of the page that asks:
Should Business-Owners Have Sites To Complain About Consumers?
  • Maybe, so long as they avoid personal attacks.
  • No. Bad customers are a cost of doing business.
  • Yes. It's only fair.
And 57.3% at the moment say that it's only fair, while another 33% say maybe. The No... is at 9.54%
 
I saw that. Didn't see the poll, tho, or I would have added my own vote! Being 'it's only fair'. I would reserve it for those folks who deserve it...smoking in the rooms, never taking the dog outside the whole time they were here, serial cancellations, stuff like that.
 
Nice idea. It will never work. We had talked about this on another post. So I'm not going to go into detail. I will say I do not beleive this will work. If you wanted something like this to work, it needs to be through a reservation program. I would not take the time to look up every guest to see if they are on the list. I do beleive enough businesses will get tired of the review process and something will come of it. But I don't think this is it.

True. When you are looking for a plumber, you are looking for one plumber. You are not looking for 10 plumbers every day. I think it is more of a sop. You get to complain, it makes you feel better, you know the info is out there if anyone else cares to look it up.
I think what we were discussing before was an untended complaint box. You could say anything you wanted about anyone. This site appears to be going to edit posts and make sure that things are changed if the problem is resolved. Granted, if it takes off, then they'll need to hire lots of people and they may just give up at that point.

I agree. Its a site to vent and pay a fee to do so. It would be nice to have something that would work. Maybe even as you stated a simple 1- 5 rating and no comments. Who knows, maybe someday something will happen.
 
I would not do this. We have a way around here to let each other know about problem guests.
