Speaking of ideas - you may or may not know a tv show is being filmed in our area, Salvage Dawgs.

I saw this today, and thought WHAT THE HECK! We are always, everyone is always, everywhere, looking for ways to save wood pallets and reuse or repurpose them, I love this! (on facebook)

I would love to sneak one of these into DH's V-Day lunch, but knowing him he would cut it the OTHER WAY, down the middle and not notice a thing.

Somehow, drawing me a picture doesn't give me all the answers! I take it that in step 3 we're dealing with an already hard boiled egg. So how long does it have to stay in the "mold" for the new shape to hold? And how long does it hold the shape before beginning to spring back to normal?

sorry all I saw on Pinterest was the image. But I did manage to find how tolaugh

Here’s how you do it.

Step 1: Cut milk carton and fold it in half lengthwise.
Step 2: Make a hard boiled egg.
Step 3: While the egg is still warm, peel the egg and put the egg on the milk carton, place a chopstick on the center of the egg, and put rubber bands on the both ends.
Step 4: Leave it for about 10 minutes. (Keep the egg in the fridge if it’s summer time.)
Step 5: Take the chopstick off and cut the egg in half.

Yes, I have seen that before. It is really cute

Obviously I don't serve food to our guests, but do you go all out and do things like this?

Sometimes it only takes a little whimsy to get a smile, so, yes.  But I stop short of being cute (this is a doily-free inn wink).

Doing things like this is what keeps things fun !!!!!  No $$$, just making people smile.
