I cannot believe how the mugs go here! My potter needs to get on the stick. He let me know he and his wife have been sick with the "creeping crud" for the last month. They had a lot of damage from the snow from hurricane Sandy.
Last week I sold the last mug from the gift shop AND the last mug from the original Gillum House mugs (different medallion) that the lady had used for breakfast - I washed it out to pack it for her. Today the couple bought the 2 they were using - because they were the last ones I had!!! They are not cheap! The lady said that makes them more special - they are the cups they used here. WooHoo!!!!
I just e-mailed my potter and upped my order.

That's great! Buying them is a credit to how much they enjoy their stay with you. Hope some of them also post a great TA review!

i think you should have a picture of that big, beautiful mug prominently featured on your website!

you have a nice picture on your blog, i think? yes, when you get some more, pour some coffee in them, with that big coffee selection in the background (or is it tea?) and take a pic ... i'd definitely buy one.

(hijack alert)
So, I see Seashanty's comment about the mug picture on your blog and went hunting for it. 20 minutes later I have a version of John's Baked Pineapple Toast in my fridge.

I've always had an aversion to soggy bread & have never made any of the breakfast casseroles that call for bread soaked overnight. BUT - this looked good & easy enough. I didn't have pineapple, but I did have a granny smith apple on the counter. We'll see how it turns out.

I just glanced at your website! Nicely done! I will have to remember to turn to your recipes page for some ideas when I get tired of making "the same old things."

The apple sounds like a great alternate. Let me know how you liked it.

Thank you. The pro that did it is great. WHEN I get my computer back (he ran into a snag last night with the data transfer), I need to upload some new recipes AND add a photo of my mugs. Maybe add a photo of the face mugs he does (I bought one for DH several Christmases ago for $75) just to show them and add a link to his page to order them.
I am lost without my computer - cannot transcribe Minutes, cannot update my ledger, cannot blog....cannot even puke the day away playing cards!

I screwed it up - so it was not good, but my fault entirely. I used regular, soft sandwich bread, but didn't let it sit out to dry up a bit. The bread portion ended up being very thin and soggy. I also didn't feel like the apple part had enough flavor. So, I'll try it again using the pineapple and some thicker homemade bread. I'm sure it will turn out much better.
