Currently searching for a new reservation system that will work with Ipad and has cloud based storage. Recommendations?

Yes; web based but not windows based. I am an Innkeeper here, but not the owner; the owner has given me the task of researching new systems and I am at a loss!

ReservationKey is cloud based and should work fine with iPad. Their system is free the first month, so you might try before you buy.
Pricing: You can switch packages or cancel any time
Manage up to 4 units $20/month
5 to 10 units $25/month
11 to 20 units $30/month
21 to 40 units $40/month
41 to 70 units $60/month
71 to 100 units $85/month
101 to 150 units $120/month
Also included in every package: Unlimited users, SSL data encryption (the same as online banks), and daily backups of your data to prevent permanent data loss.
Here are some examples from B&Bs (many of them from on this board) who use ReservationKey.

Unequivocally www.reservationkey.com. I have used something else and would not go back.
Reservations, reports, affordability, ease of usefor innkeeper AND guests. He has come up with so many bells and whistles in thetwo years since I signed up that are soooo helpful!

Add to your list...friends use Availability Online and they are exclusively Mac users. I don't personally like the layout, but it's something to look at. SuperInn is another option but I cannot vouch for the Mac interface. You'd have to contact them and ask.

Thanks for all of the suggestions; we currently use Rezstream which has a ton of great features but it is expensive and, again, not cloud based or Mac friendly. I've checked out Reservation Key's website and it seems to have a lot of the same features that we couldn't live without at this point. I plan on calling them in person next week to get more info.

RezStream is building a cloud based reservation system which is "coming soon". I do not know how soon, but you might want to ask them about it. Since it is cloud/web based you should be able to access it from any device.

Recently I got a solicitation from Innhand. Haven't really tried it, though.

Ditto Bob and Arkansawyer. We keep track of Reservations while we travel on our iPad using Reservation Key.

She's how did I know this was going to be "one of those" of course the original post USES rezstream, here is their site link.
If the person who posted this didn't know, then that is quite a coincidence.

If it's web-based, does it matter whether you're using IOS or Windows OS? Won't it work from either system's browser?

That's generally true, although some things don't run on Macs that run on PCs, notably Flash.
It's worth noting that Reservation Key does work on IPads, there is no app for ResKey - you are just running it through the browser on the IPad. All the functions seem to work though.
