Google Maps - new street view photo

CAN I SCREAM HERE?
WE HAD MIDDLE OF ICKY NO GROW SEASON WINTER ON GOOGLE MAPS STREET VIEW, IT WAS AN EMBARRASSMENT!
NOW THEY HAVE UPDATED THE IMAGE. I REMEMBER LAST YEAR WHEN THE GOOGLE CAR CAME THROUGH TOWN, I WAS HOPING WE WERE GOING TO BE ON IT!
IT EVEN CAUGHT THE GUY CUTTING TH HEDGE ACROSS THE STREET, WHICH BTW ONLY HAPPENS LIKE ONCE PER YEAR!

Ahhh I can see the time frame, we have the roof peeled off in the back from the derecho and kayaks on top of the truck, so that would have been end of June 2012.
So if someone wants the GPS from the back (which is why I am on here doing this) to the parking lot, they will see the roof like that! Nice, terrific, great. UGH! There is a new metal roof on the back.

Well it is now 6 of one half dozen of another.
Oh brother, you can peek over our fence and see the crap near our shop. KILL ME NOW! The side of the property where DH thinks no one can see and puts building supplies and JUNK! This is really horrible. I am not happy right now. http://goo.gl/maps/OxFF9

awww...Don't worry about it. When I looked at it I didn't even move around the image to look. Most people won't go to that much effort.

Yeah, it's a crap shoot. The photos here always seemed to be in the winter when it is really brown.

Google updated the city... except they only have updated HALF of my street and mine is one that wasn't yet updated. Frustrating. It's like they forgot to update my half of a block. Mine is April 2009, from the alley it's August 2011, the other end of the alley is October 2011. Very frustrating.
BTW, image date is on the bottom left corner. Says July 2012.

I was about to put early July. We had the new roof on the first week of July and I think we went kayaking the same week.

Looks great from the front! Losing that tree really opened up the view. Also nice that people can pan around and see it's such a nice neighborhood.
My own place shows the horrible pre-rennovation view from 2008 :-(

Hey that looks great..So I go to look for my place...all I get is an old cedar tree and it is at the neighbors house and now where near ours. That's ok we don't need to be identified any longer

The little flying google man has never been down our road, and was last in our neighborhood on the main road back in October 2007...

Well, now you can show him this and you have proof that it can be seen from the road. How funny!

Ours is from May 2008! But, thank you for the blast from the past. I don't know why I never thought about taking a tour down our Main Street before. It has changed SO MUCH since then. There were empty grass lots, vacant buildings, the older businesses were in different places and smaller. That was really cool to see!

The front shot looks great. Do not sweat it. They came through my city in 2007 and just looked down the block toward my house - no ID on it either. The Rice Bldg was still up when they were here and most of our storefronts were empty on the main drag (the only place they took photos. Today, we cannot get any shops to open because there is no building fit to open. The computer store is closing the end of this month. He discovered NONE of the electricals in the space he occupies are grounded. Not good in a computer store. So that one will be open again (and frankly, I would not want to rent from that owner).
With my luck, the photo truck/car whatever will come down my street before I get my hedges filled in or while my roof is being replaced (pray that happens soon - the roof I mean!!) so I am not asking that they come back here real soon.

Ours is still the mostly out of focus one it was before. I doubt we'll see them again anytime soon. At least it's green if out of focus.

OK, you made me look at the back view with your comment! ;-)
I tried to pretend that I had never seen the place in person and I had a few immediate thoughts: 1) Oh, no...those poor folks had a windstorm tear up the roof of their beautiful home!, 2) Cool! You can kayak near there, and 3) Boy, it would be really quiet there with those neighbors behind the place.
Most people realize that what we call a lane here in the South (alley to some other folks) is an access for all the stuff that is not generally for public view. Your stuff behind your workshop is 100% neater than the stuff that was in plain view at a place we stayed recently.
Life goes on....stuff has to be dealt with! Don't sweat this...your B&B is a showplace!

I was just about to post how lucky you were to have them come by when everything was so green and looked beautiful. Then I saw the post with the pictures. Just remember most people do not look at the 360.
Our pic was taken in winter sometime in early '07. Not only is everything brown and no leaves on the trees but having been after that major storm that wiped out so many trees, the are had not yet filled back in.

I hadn't looked, but after your comment I did. I think it is very nice. I don't see anything objectionable...I think the fellow clipping the hedge is a good thing, shows it is being kept up, nice neighborhood. Nice photo.
I even check out the satellite views, shows the area better. Sometimes that is a real plus in choosing a place. What AREN'T they telling you? The train? The factory? The expressway?

It appears that the Google Streetview vehicle finally drove down our road (at least part of it) this August!
