Hi all,
Those who have Comphy sheets -
I am dealing with a light silver blue comforter cover. We have wine stains all the time so I know about those but this is different and I've been told usually not a possible stain to solve.
The guests picked the petals off red roses, and sprinkled them on the comforter and rolled around on it.
Right now I am spraying it with Resolve stain remover, and will follow with a cold OXY Clean soak.
I'm not sure if washing it in HOT water will set the stain or if I should wash it in COLD water.
I know with wine it can take a couple of days so we will have to have a talk with them probably at check out that they may have purchased a duvet cover but I probably won't know for a couple of days.
Many thanks,
Riki

I have had great success with Dawn dishwashing liquid. You can now buy it in a clear version instead of the blue (the blue stains, how dumb is that???)
I soak the item to get it fully wet, then rub in the Dawn. I generally start with a warm water setting on the washer. I'll run it thru at hotter temps if it didn't work on warm.
How clever of them to create that mess. <Sigh> No more roses for packages here.

I just spoke with Linda, the Comphy rep who also recommended Dawn. I used that after Resolve, and fortunately the blue Dawn will probably not stain the blue comforter since it then went into the OxyClean soak. I think I may have got them out but it will take two days soaking before I'm sure.
Linda also recommended to wash in warm after the two days soak.
**sigh**

I'm thrilled to report the stains came out! I have always been led to believe that rose stains were permanent and they may still be in cotton sheets. But the combination of Resolve Stain Remover, Dawn, two days soaking in Oxy and a cold wash did the trick!
Thanks to Linda Hayes for calling me right away when I emailed her for support, and Comphy for calling on Monday (stain occurred on the weekend) to check on me.
