If you have not looked at it lately, please do! http://www.innrewards.com/
This is your opportunity to join at the grassroots level of this website, and be featured. The kinks are being worked out. Bob is doing a fantastic job, and putting in a lot of time and effort. This is what many asked for, so I hope you can join us!

It is not often that someone is willing to put time and effort and MONEY into something to help a lot of others. This is something that could be really big and help this industry. I admit I was skeptical at first about the reward part, but knowing I can set MY REWARD and change it when I choose made the difference.
In my not very humble opinion, anyone who does not take advantage of this opportunity will be losing a lot. I intend to spread the word. Free for 6 months and then $25 per year? If we build this up right, we can rival some of those $200 + per year places. Sign-up is easy.

This comes from the heart! Bob is doing a tremendous thing for this industry. This could go far but it needs YOU to take advantage of this promotion and to spread the word. PAii has stated they would help spread the word once Bob gives the go ahead. In other words, they support this effort! I'll leave it to Bob to fill in what they told him, but this is great news!

I just checked it again and it's looking great! Beautiful big pictures on the home page.
One small change I would still like...right now it reads "mention this code to your innkeeper to receive your reward" and I think it should say 'mention this code to your innkeeper at time of booking'. When I add the innrewards logo to my website, I don't want to give the discount to people after they've booked or are our loyal repeat guests ( do my special things for them).

Agree BD, and in fact I want it to be ENTER THIS CODE online when you make this reservation. In fact, I want this to be an ONLINE SPECIAL GIFT ONLY.

Good idea on the wording change.
So how are you going to handle the loyal repeats if they do ask for the Innreward when they book?

I'll give them the innreward but nothing else. We don't have a repeat guest discount, so it's pretty simple.

This is a project that started with just an idea. The beauty behind it comes from all of us working together to let people know how much better a B&B or Inn can be than chain properties (hotels, motels, condos, etc). This is a site intended to make a big difference in our businesses. We could really channel our guests into a great way to make reservations and help support all of us, by doing so. I know we are tired of the big dot.com companies that really do not care if we make any reservations from them or not -they just want our hundreds of dollars a year! But enough of that... you get the idea. Come sign up, it only takes a few minutes and it's really easy. No credit cards, or anything like that. If you are new to the site or have questions about it, please ask. Come help make a difference!
I do want to tell everyone that has offered opinions and input -and continue to do so- "Thank you for your time and willingness to help out!" I called PAII last week and talked to Sam. I told him I was pretty sure he'd never heard of the site, but went on to explain to him that a bunch of Innkeepers had come up with a new website called Innrewards.com and he told me (to my great pleasure!) that they had actually heard of it, talked about it and all think it's a great idea!! They want us to go ahead and use the "Better way to Stay" slogan. They also said they would like to help us out. After we get more people signed up and the site is finished, they said to let them know and they will make some kind of announcement. (Of course, even when it's "finished", our goal is to continue to stay on top of it, improving it as needed. We want to make it the very best it can be- to keep B&Bs and Inns going strong! :) So this will be a great thing for ALL of us! From all of us that have signed up already... We welcome you into the InnRewards family!

Can I ask that the top paragraph on the 'innkeepers' page be broken up into smaller bits. Sorry, I have the attention span of a twitterite.
If I understand the rules I offer whatever I want to offer, correct?
I would also want the wording to tell guests they must mention the offer when booking.

Here's what we will go with, instead... Good point, we agree this is better!
Let the Innkeeper know that you found them on InnRewards.com and make sure to give them your code while making your reservation. This will ensure that you receive your personalized gift!
*Your reward is only valid at the time of making your reservation*

They might be loyal because of the reward you do give. It might just be the thing that brings them back to you. :)

Hi! We actually did discuss the "online only" idea, but so many B&Bs/Inns still only take reservations via phone calls and that would cut them all entirely out. Hopefully what we posted a minute ago will be a good compromise... : )

Nahhh, because I just surprise them when I feel like it. Nobody expects it. What I'll do is after a few times being with us, on check-out I'll surprise them with a mug, or water bottle and gush all over them about how we appreciate them. Sometimes If they order dinner I'll throw in a complimentary bottle of cider.
We get a lot of repeat guests returning year after year celebrating their Anniversary. They come back over and over because of their experience here, not because of a reward. I would be using the innreward to try to capture new guests.

Interesting, if they are on this website, seems they are online...but I hear ya! The more the merrier. Please don't hold back the technology for a few, when the bulk overwhelmingly prefers something else.
And remember everyone, you can change up the reward in season, so busy season do something less than the off season when you really want to bait that hook (esp to increase the number of nights they stay!)
