My last two days have been extremely tiring. We have guest that don't seem to want to go out lately. And then there are the guests who want to arrive early. Throw into the mix the mail, the phone calls and the necessity to go to the store and I've been run ragged for the last two days.
Yesterday I went into one room and it was in such disarray that I spent almost 2 hours putting the room back in proper order. So by 6 PM the last two days I have been ready to go to bed. Tomorrow I have a full house, but I also have help. 19 more days until my vacation... 19 more days... 19 more days...

Was the room still occupied? I walk out of rooms that look like that and deal with them when the guests have gone. If I see them I will mention that if they need anything just let us know but we didn't want to 'disturb the nest'.
In other news...have a great time away!

Sorry to here you've been run down. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
OH that reminds me - 28 days until my vacation. YIPPEE!!!

May all who have a vacation in sight have a wonderful time! Relax and enjoy!!

Hope you got some sleep! If you can go outside and take a moment for yourself. I also recommend taking B12 vitamins. I was surprised how much more energy I felt when I started them on top of my daily. Good Luck. 18 days....:)

Whoo Hooo! Where are you headed this time??
My countdown is 33 days!!.
Leaving from Fort Lauderdale and ending in London... a slow boat across the pond. The Azores, Lisbon, Zeebrugge, Le Havre and Southampton. And then a direct flight back from the UK. We have a car for the day, so I can scare us to death driving on the left side of the road... and then a flight back. Everything is booked, but oddly enough, we still don't have an assigned room on the boat (we booked what is called a guarantee, they guarantee us a room with at least a window, but sometimes they won't even tell you until you arrive at the port.)
Three of the guests turn over today and it's oddly quiet for Easter, two empty rooms. But at least MoH is here to help for the long weekend.

Yup. But MoH told me that the room was done the day before. I don't know how. But I cleaned and reset it all. I did the same yesterday, but it wasn't as bad. But I was already tired from the day before. I finally finished rooms at 6PM last night. I've never been able to just let a room go, like that. It's just not me.
I don't get people who laze in the room in the summer, usually. It's a winter thing, so soon that will be over. No snow left on the ground.

Sounds divine! I've always wanted to go to the Azores since that's where my family originally came from. I took my mother to Portugal, but that's the closest we got. I'm looking forward to what your impressions are of the area!
We're headed to FL also, to spend time with DH's family, then on to an all inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic.Time for some sun and sand!

Actually, this will be our second visit to the Azores. We've been to a few of the "odd" places on earth to visit... Falklands, Azores, Canaries and Cape Verde. The Azores were quite beautiful but rocky. The tile work on the sidewalks was quite impressive. The two lakes next to earth, unforgettable. There are two non-stop flights in the summer, from the cities with the biggest Azorean populations, Toronto and Boston. Remind me in email and I'll set you up so you can see my photos from our last trip to the Azores and for this trip as well. (Though, we likely won't do much other than walk around in town this time, since we did a full island tour last time.)
We'll be in Fort Lauderdale for just a few hours. We go from the plane to the ship. Well, we will take a bit of time in Fort Lauderdale to shop, but not far from the airport and the port. Just to pick up some soft drinks and such that we can take with us on the ship. Maybe a bottle of wine. But then it's right to the ship and vacation.

BTW... I called it this morning, he gets that room to do! Woohoo! Sometimes it's fun to play childhood games like that. And no takebacks!

Oh the anticipation of a vacation always keeps me hoping when things are not going so well.. just got back from ours today, the innsitter was not really equipped for this inn and its "fussy" guests as soon as we walked in we got to work..but thats the life isnt it...counting down for you! it seems like a fun time....where you are going that is.

Has to remember to take a vacation, now that I made the vacation home a B&B!

After helping me today, he REALLY needs it!!!.
Nah, I'll be okay. But it certainly makes things easier when Chrome is installed. All the other methods of trying to see your screen were so hard to get set up. But once we use the remote desktop on Chrome, things went faster.

And I got Outlook and Publisher installed. GOD forbid there is a next time - but I will buy the whole magilla and be done with it! Penny-wise and pound-foolish!!
I hope you know how much I appreciate the time you gave me out of your VERY busy schedule. Getting that password on was vital.

It wasn't a problem at all. Slow season anyway.
