More men for online reservations? If you were to scroll down the names on online reservations (only), what % would be male?

Just wanted to add that I took a bunch of reservations this week and all the women used the guy's name to make the rez.

i get that a lot - mainly women book leisure breaks as they don't trust their husbands to do all the research but put the hubby's name on either they feel they should or so it matches the card.

I state 50/50.  You shouldn't assume it is the man just because the man's name appears on the reservation & possibly email address.  Many women will use the man's name when booking.  Some because they are using the hubby or significant other's credit card other because they feel that is the proper way.

I said 50/50 as well but it may not be accurate.

So what we are saying is, we really need to do some tests. If we are really concerned with the appeal. Why does it matter as long as we are getting reservations? Or is it we are thinking we want MORE reservations? If women make most of the reservations, appeal to the women? You say?

I still think it depends on the style of inn you have and the location.

What we need is a simple system with a photo and one sentence to see who is appeals to. But then again, if we are visiting MY PARENTS perhaps we have HIS CHOICE vs visiting HIS PARENTS and MY PREFERENCE?  If that makes any sense. If I am dragging him to MY high school reunion, vs his? and so on. A one night stay on the road, vs a vacation of multiple nights.

There is so much more to it we could explore.

Do they smoke? Do they drink? Do they want to be in the center of it all?

Do they have 4 young kids at home?

Lately I have been getting calls from men also. Usually in the past it was the women making the reservations. My Easter reservation was made for the family by the Dad and the last two horse reservations (both for last week and canceled by the way) were made by men.
