Depends on the topic. I write all the blogs, but sometimes 'we' are doing whatever I'm writing about. 'We went to...' Actually, a lot of the blog is written about DH. 'Look what he did THIS time...' sort of tales from the kitchen.

So, to answer the question...I don't write a lot of first person commentary. It's more things we've done together (we, your hosts) or things DH has done (crazy guy who makes your breakfast).

But, if I'm talking about ME in the blog I use 'I'. (I went to such and such the other day, here are the pix I took, you should go there, too.)

Everyday, for good or ill, we intersect with some else's story and become a part of it.

It depends on the blog and how my mind (when I find it) is working that day. Or what the subject is - it may be something I was doing or if about the City WE means the City.

Depends on what the blog is about. A Happy Mother's Day blog may be from the B&B itself, or the Inn Family. Or it may be a personal note from me (one mother) to another.

So it is all in the tone for me, you know I am much less formal, and I want to attract some of the younger, ie below retirement age - guests:

  • "From your innkeepers at..."
  • "From your innkeeper at..."
  • "From The CHBB Inn..."
  • "From and add in something quirky and ridiculous here"

Now if you don't want to be singled out as the owner, but representing the inn I would say WE. But YOUR blog is a one person blog, and I prefer it that way, personally. Smiling I like the one person speaking to me type blogs, over all else.
