Thank you!
I especially like #19. People do actually sue farmers when the farm is 'aromatic'. Especially if the people bought their house next to a farm because they wanted a bucolic view. (But never counted on the other senses being aroused as well.)

I was saying that on my hike Sunday "You can't do this in the city!"
and then Monday had a meeting and drove through farmland and start choking on the odeur manure. It is not the cows themselves, or the slurry manure ponds, but when they agitate it and then spray it on the crops...gag

.
Yeah, the spraying is a bit much on a hot, humid day.

we have a VERY large pig farm half way between here and the nearest big city - its very aromatic!

Love that article! When I was a young girl I grew up near a dairy farm and they fertilized the fields all around us every spring with manure. Now the dairy farm is gone and some of the fields have been developed. I miss that smell.

We have a renowned cheese factory in our bigger town. Dairy farms are all over, but fortunately, we don't get the fragrance but a couple times a year at the b&b. In the town, it's really stinky most of the time. Locals call it "the smell of money", but tourists can't stand it. I don't know where they think all that cheese comes from!
