I must admit that I'm not looking to 'sell' every time I write something up. So I don't have a 'call to action' in every blog post or FB post or newsletter. Am I missing the point of blogging? I don't think so. I think linking every bit of content to 'action' may put off a segment of my readers.

But every article says make sure there is a call to action. All of them. No matter who writes them and for what audience. Like a mantra!

No, you're not missing the point. The point for me is to keep in touch with our guests and maybe get some of their friends to follow me and then some of theirs. I don't sell. Not selling in our times of robo calls and cold calls and people knocking on the door, I think it's nice just to stay in touch.

If you are a business then you need to have a call to action. That is not saying an alert "Buy now or else" type of call to action. Book a room with us in White Mountains, NH. We don't want to ONLY sell or we put people off. We are unlike other bloggers, we get to see where our customers sleep, eat and ...
