Guest compliments

We get a few. Today? 'The window sills are so clean!' And her husband saying, 'First time ever. And she checks, believe me.'
Maybe because we are on a major interstate highway but, yes, the window sills get really dirty. (And my lungs are filtering that. Yikes!) It's the time of year the windows are open, too. So we do try to keep up with it.
Sure we get compliments about the food, but it's the oddball ones that make me smile.

So true! I've always paid attention to the window sills (the wooden ledge), but years ago I had a guest complain that the white inside part of the window was dirty. Ever since, I've been cleaning that inside part of the window every time. It's amazing what some people notice/complain about.

I get quite a few compliments on how things look and feel.
It surprises me how many guests take the time to write lovely notes and leave presents for me. I mean there's no need to thank me, they got what they paid for. I didn't know what to do with these notes so I decoupaged them on to the desk in the office.
It makes up for the PITA that we all deal with now and then.
