Looking here. Love the idea of all this being able to show on map. I know how to create the map, but how do you get it to set up like this one. Turning one on and off etc. I don't recall seeing that before

It's an old style site and it shows as table format. I can do the map that way...but guess I will need to look at google maps and see if they give some code somewhere to use. I wouldn't use tables. Maybe I can find some shortcode somewhere. if you find something let me know.

What a great idea...and it saves on all the FAQ we get about things to do and places to eat! I would love to be able to offer this on our site. I am a total dolt when it comes to code but my webmaster (read s-i-l) might be persuaded to add the interactive feature if someone can figure out how to code it. Let me know if anyone figures this out.

I've had this on my site for a number of years. Set up by Acorn, initially with the on/off boxes, then I added the locations on my google maps. I don't know how they set it up initially, but it's easy for me to edit through google maps

Nice! We all must have this! Help, someone!
I spent the day running automatic drip irrigation to the hanging baskets on the guesthouse porches. That I can do. Someone else will have to step forward on these great interactive maps.

Doing the maps spots/locations is easy setting it up under MY PLACES in GOOGLE Maps. You just set up a map. Give it a name. Then type in the places you want. Go to their page, CLICK ADD TO MAP and add it to YOUR map. You can change the icons etc. Easy to do. It's that interactive thing I have yet to discover..but I will search for it. I am sure I can find something on You tube

The 'auto drip' here has been on for a week. I need some sunshine! I haven't even put the annuals out yet! Local gardener guy said to wait until next week due to chance of frost still.

I've already written and published (on paper) the book "50+ Things to See and Do" in and around our town. Never thought of e-booking it on Amazon. Great idea! Thanks!

make sure you are in it! also you can make it a free download from your web site ie join our mailing list and get free book of things to do - costs nothing and gives them a list of things that encourage them to come and stay - can't take credit for the idea though it belongs to that B&B coach from the Champaigne region of france - can't remember her name but will post it if I do - she has written a hard copy book with some good ideas but find much of it a bit simplistic ie it is important to have a web site and so on.
found it! Yvonne Halling and the site is the bedand breakfast coach.com

I think they just switch the visibility property (true or false) of the feature (eg parks what have you) when the radio button is clicked.
When I saw this question, I went to the Google maps api documentation for javascript, and I noticed that they have some live code examples that you might have fun pulling apart.

Let us know what you create!

thanks but that does not look like fun! i don not want to deal with all that code. I am not a coder.
i just want the simple solution.
