I just had a person wanting to have the Loft Suite for 4 (the room could hold them all)  I told her $25 extra for guest 3 & 4  she didn't want to pay it. And they were teenagers!!!!   angry  So no room for her here!

I've had people say they thought the quoted price WAS for 4 people. Dream on. It can't be clearer how that works.

I used to have an extra charge per person - looked and now I say nothing about it. Really do not want to do 3rd person. I would probably say $35 per person extra today. Although to discourage them, I would probably make it higher so they have to go to two rooms - and I would do a discount on the second room - just to avoid having to put up the cot.

Looks like most are charging more than I do, but y'all are feeding them and I'm not.

In fact, some are feeding me. Last weekend a couple left, in the kitchen cabinet, a 90% full bag of gourmet coffee you can't buy here. Darn right I took it and am brewing it for myself!

$15 extra per person, regardless of age. Many gladly pay it realizing that we have to supply extras. A few have balked at it... they went elsewhere. We do NOT have exceptions to this, ever!

Speaking of which...we had a call tonight from someone wanting to bring a 'brand new' baby with them. When we explained the room they wanted wasn't suitable to a baby crying all night they asked us to give them the deluxe room for the standard room price. A hefty discount so we could listen to the baby cry on our end of the house. No thanks.

I only have one room I allow more than two in and it is a $20 charge per night for the third person.  It is the same if they are a child or adult.  This covers the cost of the extra bed and their breakfast.

We charge $25 for people 13 and older; $15 per child 2-12 in rooms that can accommodate more than double occupancy. Under two are "complimentary" (we never use the word "free"). Nobody has ever batted an eye over the extra charge.

$35 for additional guest. #1 this prevents the kids being packed into a room request.

My apartments each have a king size bed for two and a queen size sofa bed for up to two more. My terms are stated as follows:

An additional $10 per person, per night, is charged  for a third and fourth person in an apartment (using a queen size sofabed in the living area). Children count as people!

For people who think they shouldn't have to pay for children it doesn't go over well. We've learned to say the extra person charge is for the other adult in the room. Eye-wink

Most people understand there is a cost to packing everyone in the same room to save on taking a second room.

We don't charge for kids under 12 months.

Average extra person fee around here runs from $15 - $75/night.

I have an adult extra cost & a child extra cost.  It is for use of the other bedding & additional breakfast.   I do use it as my bartering dollars is someone is wanting a discount for ANY thing but only if they are staying more than one night.
