Just friggin' ducky. I got my G+ page set up for the biz and what shows up right at the top? 'Book on Priceline'. I don't want advertising on my G+ page! I don't want people finding this and booking on Priceline. I thought this was MY page, not an advertising page. I thought this was for sharing not selling.
Anyone know how to get rid of this before it goes completely live?

I've never seen an ad of any kind on my G+ page, and no, I don't pay them anything to make it that way. Where at the top is the ad?

It's under the 'info' tab. It's right in the content of the page. I know it's because we're set up on GDS, but why the heck does it just show up there without me adding it? Plus, I noticed everyone else's G+ page starts on their posts, not on this info page so how do I change that?
Sorry, I'm just grumpy right now.

Sorry you're grumpy, but I know there's good reason!
I don't know anything about an "info" tab. Here's what's available at the top of my G+ page:
About Posts Photos Videos Reviews | View profile as: Yourself

Arrrgh! Yes, the About section.

When I go to G+, I get there by clicking a link on my computer to the address of my posts page. On my website clicking the G+ button takes you to the address of my posts page. So maybe you just need to start going directly to your posts page. Go there now, copy the address of that page, and use that address to go to G+ in the future.
I'm just guessing. I'm almost as new to G+ as you are...and about as frustrated!

I don't have any ads either. Have you verified your page?.
Just verified it today. That's when I found out it includes a listing for my place on Priceline. I checked the other places in town that have G+ pages and it's the same thing. They all have the Priceline ad because we're all using some version of GDS above and beyond our own website.
So it shows availability for one night at my going rate for that night. I just don't want that on there. It's bad enough it's the first thing that shows up doing a search for my town. Now it also shows up on MY G+ page. So, Google gets a cut because they insist on me having a G+ page or 'suffer the consequences' down the line when they start shifting all the G love to other places that have G+ pages.

Ah! OK. I guess when they say global distribution, they mean it!

Well, in checking out my own G+ page, I found a horrible 'review' by one of the crazies we got last year. This person had a reservation for 2 nights, pulls up, gets out of the car and starts complaining. Says he/she (I really couldn't tell what gender this person was) is allergic to mold and they're not staying. Uh?? What mold? They refused to even enter the building and see their room. Says our website is misleading like so many other b&bs. They even state "buyer beware, especially with b&bs"
I told he/she that they were still responsible for the room for both nights. I knew this person was wacko, so I agreed to keep only the 1 night deposit and let them out of the 2nd night.
I was amazed that no TA review happened. No I see this review on our G+ page basically saying it's a moldy dump with junk in the yard and a dumpy little house.
Any suggestions on how to respond to this review? We only have 2 others on G+ and they're both rated 'excellent'. As much as I'd like to slam the reviewer, I've got to take the high road and say something like "I'll let our other excellent reviews speak for themselves".
By the way we just got the TA award of excellence with 5 bubbles. I don't want to mention that because this wacko will then find TA to slam us!

Thought I did that long ago. Guess not. Thanks for this - I just did it.
