One good reason to answer the phone

The caller ID said "Name unavailable" and the telephone number only had 4 digits. They rang, got the answering machine and hung up without leaving a message. But....they called right back so I figured , what the heck, and answered the phone. As it turns out, there was a journalist on the other end of the line and as a result, THIS came out today. Now if it would only translate into $$$ room nights I'll be happy!! Well actually, I am VERY happy anyway. Still can't figure out how they found us...sort of like finding a needle in the hay stack!

Wonderful!! It never hurts to get some free advertising. I liked the tell-it-like-it-is writing. The article let the inns be the story without gush or fluff. Here is hoping it makes the phone ring off the hook.

I want some of that! I have a travel writer from the state dept. of parks & tourism, and her photographer, taking my two apartments next week. They'll be spending 2 nights here and we plan to give them the grand tour of the county. Nothing but good could come out of this!

I am hoping for you as Silverspoon. It seems that with all the publicity I manage to scare up, others involved get the reservations and I get a silent phone. Glad the phone rings for the others but must admit I would like a little of it too. I really do not think there is something wrong with my place, if those who have been here have any ideas, i am open to them.
