It does indeed. And contrary to what happens to the "jocks" who are has-beens at 30, a person can participate with music as long as they can see the notes, process what they are, and make their fingers move on cue. Of course, if it is a wind instrument, having enough hot air helps also. Many members of my Community Band are of the variety that are grateful they can still "blow their brains out".
