Every once in a while we get a guest, like just now, who just stares.
Now in the past we have had the various conclusion like:
  1. hard of hearing
  2. regional accent difference
  3. foreign speaking
  4. you look exactly like my niece
  5. I look at people - closely - when they talk
  6. dazed and confused from travel
  7. full bladder - only thinking about running to the loo (and are waiting to ask where it is)
  8. does not want to be there, was tricked into it
I am sure there are more... It is funny how they stare. I never know what it is usually til the next day. I almost stopped cold and said "WHAT! Do I have spinach stuck in my teeth?" The second I came in here I went straight to a mirror and inspect.
I know I am not the only innkeeper who does this.

I always want to look over my shoulder and ask if they see dead people.
But, yes, I always wonder if there's something wrong with the way I look. Good way to test that is if the person staring is doing something else at the same time...touching their hair, licking their lips, wiping their face, brushing imaginary lint off their shirt. Almost a giveaway about what's wrong with me- cowlick, chocolate, chocolate, spider.

Yes, I've had that too. Big eyes starring at you.
I make the best scrambled eggs and after I've dished breakfast I usually finish the scrapings in the pan myself. The other morning I checked folk out and said goodbye, afterwards I went into the loo to discover a lump of scrambled egg on my chin, so it's not always them!!!!

I googled him, and the funny thing was I said AYCH! (or however that is spelled) as he was STILL STARING AT ME from the www!
