All Good Things....

Come to an end. Tonight for the first time since Feb, we do not have revenue coming in. Our pipeline folks came home from work today to tell us they have found an apartment. They left today. Perfect timing. The original rez had ended Sunday and this was the start of a new week. It also made it possible for me to book that room for 2 nights the first weekend in August - making it whole house to a family coming in for a Memorial Service for his Mother (we knew her). Things work out.
This weekend is still open but we will not be upset if it stays open. We will be involved Thurs thru Sunday with a motorcycle event. Starting the third week of August, I hope to start getting bookings again. Got one for Oct today. YEA!!

We skipped a couple days the week before Easter when the kids came in (in case the IRS is looking, I paid for them to stay) But as of Easter Sunday it was continuous - partly due to the invisible guest being charged for her 2 weeks of non-appearance. I have no idea how many days that was. It was a good run and the checkbook is grateful.

If I'm right we should make over 140 this year. We made 142 last year, but we purposefully blocked out two days in September. If we hadn't, it would have been 198 days without a day off.
This year, oddly enough, one day in the middle of high season... 13th of June. Just plain ODD.

If I'm right we should make over 140 this year. We made 142 last year, but we purposefully blocked out two days in September. If we hadn't, it would have been 198 days without a day off.
This year, oddly enough, one day in the middle of high season... 13th of June. Just plain ODD.

And I'm packed on that day and the 4th. In fact, we had the usual begging. Actually the begging is the worst this year for the first weekend in August. It's a long weekend in much of this country.
I know the cut-off date for this year because we leave on the 8th of November for Europe.

I am currently in limbo. I had a call tonight for a long-term, but I have a full-house booking Aug 2-3. It was a good run though.
