Guest loves everything. Thinks the complimentary tea and coffee are the best. Loves that we have a fridge she can use. Thinks the porch is perfect. Loves her room.
What do I do?

Pinch yourself.
Make sure that the confirmation doesn't say the name of my place.
Ask them kindly for a lovely review on T/A.

Breath a DEEP SIGH of RELIEF :) And thank God her when the next PITA walks in the door.

Before you finish counting those unhatched chickens, see https://www.innspiring.com/node/13366
There are cases of nice people going up the stairs at bedtime and seemingly completely different people coming back down the next morning!

That's how our guests were this past weekend. The first couple, it was their fist experience with a B&B and they loved it. She said it was her dream home! :) Sweet gal.
The other couples couldn't stop talking about the food, and how wonderful of a time they had. Lots of hugs when they left.
They were awesome and talking about coming back at Christmas and telling everyone. Took extra business cards when they left to hand out to others....
Yep.... Love guests like that.

I guess the "Exchanging money for guests" plan worked! haha.
Even more interesting is this guest is not paying for her stay. She's here to work and the company is paying for her stay. She loves that they didn't put her up at a hotel.

If anyone deserved lovely guests, YOU DO! You are wayyyyy overdue for some appreciation and smiles. So soak it in and store some good feelings away to carry you through the next round of PITAs!

Sane guests!! Wonderful. May the aura stay behind to infect the rest of your guests this season.

** Basil Fawlty, in response to being told he has some happy guests.

Did the sarcastic happy dance too soon...have had a day full of weirdness including multiple guest cars randomly abandoned all over the parking lot, guests walking right past me into the kitchen and helping themselves as I am trying to show new guests where everything is, grumpy guests complaining their room key doesn't open the front door. Duh.
This doesn't include the guest who is having the worst time with his credit card and whose reservation I cancelled (called him to tell him this) who just emailed to say he'd see me tomorrow thanks for holding the room for him. Sigh.
Nor does it count the group reservation I am trying to line up for 40 room nights with a big name college but whose organizer doesn't seem to be able to figure which dates he really means to book. (I wouldn't think this is such a difficult task as he also has to schedule all the students so he must know what date school starts!)

Funny, I was just reading an article about TV shows most people don't realize were based on real people/events and it told the story of John Cleese going back and staying multiple times at the hotel just to get the owner's mannerisms and personality right.
