Tuesday afternoon eldest son & family arrived. Tuesday evening the girls wanted to bake, so we mixed up (they did it with oversight from Granny) a batch of Gillum House Rolls to be made into pepperoni rolls. Wednesday we went site-seeing so did not get the rolls made. We did them tonight - they leave in the morning.

And they were quite good. The dough is a refrigerator dough - it raises in the fridge - so we made that the first night. The almost 7 YO broke the egg. Gentle tap, gentle tap, finally got a crack. Then inserted thumbs and egg squirted everywhere - thankfully mostly in the bowl. I read the what and they measured and mixed. Then we made molasses cookies. THOSE eggs were cracked the same way. It was so funny to see her expression! She does not smile much - her expression was an OH Sh**! if I ever saw one. We were too busy Wednesday to make them so they were "for the road home". (And lunch for the old folks today. They were good.)
