Well don't look at mine! I feel the same. Way too much text! Surely people can figure out how to make a reservation without so many instructions, and surely they've already read the room descriptions before landing at the reservation page.
But do have enough so people can be sure which room they're booking. I've booked at sites where I got to the reservation page and had to keep going back to the rooms page to make sure I was booking the one I meant to book..

I always want to put in MORE directions after fielding some calls about how the system didn't work. Next week...that's my mantra. Next week when it's dead quiet I will get to all of that.

Yep, that's how I got lengthy step by step of how to make the reservation, because even in my short time I've had people who called and said they couldn't get it to work online, and I KNOW it works....for everybody but the few.
I've about decided it's a good self-sufficiency test. If they aren't able to work the online reservation system, they're probably not competent to self-check themselves in at my place.
