Grape leaves are edible!! I just found out (from the guest who owns several restaurants!). He was sitting out under our pergola which is completely covered with wild Grape leaves and he told me a recipe that they make. So I looked it up and there are several recipes on line for grape leaves.
Also wild grape has a better flavor than the kind used for wine making. oh and JB they say wild grape grows like crazy out in your area!
So I just made Dolmathakia (stuffed grape leaves)! But I added ground beef cuz we're trying them for dinner!
I'm planning on using them in salads too. and so many other things. Did you know they make good smoothies too?
They are loaded with nutrition! One cup (14g) of raw grape leaves contains 77% of your Daily Value of vitamin A, 19% of your vitamin K, 20% of your DV of Manganese and an awesome balance of fatty acids! 120mg’s of omega 3 fatty acids to 20.7mg’s of omega 6!!
Fun stuff to know!

Darlin' you need to get out more. Dolmathakia is standard Greek fare.
The best we ever had was in a tiny village on the isle of Crete. They were so good as to be orgasmic.

Ummmm, yes I knew

Sunshine, did you know that you can eat day lilies from bulb to flower? The entire thing is edible

Yep, they are very good. I had them in Greek Town in Chicago.

Yes, I do know many edible flowers and grow them for that reason... but never knew the grape leaf thing! And I have them growing everywhere like crazy!

we have our own grape vines in the car park - don't get many grapes but it makes a nice screen between us and next door's trash cans!

Yup, known about them for decades...but it's so cute seeing your enthusiasm for them!
