Non innkeepers on this forum

The blessing and the curse of non innkeepers on this forum is displayed by the so-called professional who replied to the ONE comment on a blatant advertisement posted here. The policies of this forum state you cannot just come here to promote yourself, as this is an innkeeping forum.
But at times seeing the one inch of rope needed to hang themselves is humorous.
Imagine the gracious reply, and how people may have actually considered the services they are trying to sell.
I am mentioning no names in this thread, but felt we needed a space outside the thread to discuss this. We have folks here from all over, from PAII to Presidents of B&B Associations. It was surely a mistake to respond with personal put downs. Especially to a well respected member of this forum, and innkeeper.

Give them an inch and they'll hang themselves.

Yes, and his unprofessional reply post will be forever in searches related to his name and business.

I hadn't read that thread either, knowing it was an ad I wasn't interested in. I've sure read it now! Thanks for calling attention to it. As Muirford said, it would almost make one think a competitor was posing as the author to cast him in a bad light! REALLY bad light!

Wow! He's still at it, digging a deeper hole for himself! It's becoming sort of funny, except for poor Muirford who's "being" "quoted" "constantly".

I'm afraid of just about everybody.
JB mentioned that it's an advertisement. On the main list of topics, look for one under the "Type" column that's not a "forum topic" but is instead a "Resource - Article".

It is not being afraid, it is being prudent.

smh... just crazy. He has made so many assumptions about this forum and it's members and keeps spewing them. Even suggesting that this forum will not survive as a credible source... Clueless... wow
