came up not found in the App store on my phone
WHY? Never heard of it.
What does it do that makes it so special and useful? If you read his blog, you will find there have been lots of problems / issues with this. Why be the one to jump on this new bandwagon first when it is not proven yet? Sorry..been burned too many times by apps promising things they don't deliver.

I understand EmptyNest's point though. If anyone's looking for an alternative that works similarly, there's a free web service called IFTTT (If This Then That).
Basically, you connect channels (Instagram account, WordPress account) to your IFTTT account and then create or use provided recipes like this one which I think (though haven't tried yet) does exactly what you're trying to achieve: a photo you've taken or posted Instagram automatically gets published as a photo/image post on your WordPress blog. Pretty amazing, right?
Don't forget to explore other possibilities you could do with IFTTT.
