"I just took a reservation... for tonight"

I left the house at 6:30 yesterday for a meeting 3.5 hours away (with buying gas, pit stops, and missing the place took 4 hours) through fog so thick I could have cut it with a knife. I made the crock pot cereal and the guy of my weekly guests this week who exists on sugar with his coffee and cigarettes actually ate some of it!!
Anyway, on the way home as I get into cell service I get a call from DH - I just took a reservation for tonight. I hope it is OK. Fortunately I a less than an hour from home and just need to clean the bathroom. The guest arrived as I was finishing up. Very interesting motorcycle rider. I pulled up JB for him to see (he marked it on his phone) and told him about a few others. He likes to do the Blue Ridge and just discovered how quickly he can get to WV!! Woohoo!! Lives in NC.
How many times, Folks, have I gone away and then the reservations come in..... Was proud of DH - he got that one all on his own!!

The box of Kleenex and my bottle of aspirin was too much for him. Still sneezing and blowing from that blasted cold.

I think it was the fact I was in such bad shape between runny nose and runny eyes that I did not even go to band rehearsal last night that kept from asking for it. I certainly was not that I had been up since 5:30 AM as that never stops him.
Barely managed to get through doing breakfast this morning (the guest talked to me as I did the last part of it so he saw me wash my hands every time I moved!) , opened the log house to some visitors, and now it is time to go teach a knitting class. THEN I am going to go to bed! (And pray we do not get any 5 AM phone vcalls)
